The Staffordshire University Racing team wowed the crowds by securing an incredible 2nd place overall, and coming in 1st place amongst fellow UK teams.
Formula Student is the most established educational engineering competition in Europe, held annually by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). The competition welcomes students from over 50 international universities, with each team designing and building a single seat racing car before competing against each other at Silverstone circuit.
The SUR team has entered the Formula Student event every year since 2018, securing 2nd place in 2021 and 4th place in 2022.
By participating in the competition, students are prepared for a career at the forefront of automotive and motorsport design; using computer-based models to design, implement, and test their work.
